Sat ready to scramble, in an instant it could be fired up, brought to life & ready for the offensive. I’m taking in this completed build in front of me & even though the car is as still as can be, I can’t help but feel it has the same aggressive nature as a resting weapon of war, a project like this, built for battling & destroying the competition, when you think about it, it’s actually not too dissimilar.
When Ryan Cooper described to me the new livery for his 2016 competition car, I knew we had to feature it. Blending the R33 Skylines chunky lines with the styling of a WW2 era bomber had me totally sold before I’d even seen it.
The new look is far more fitting than any its had before. XSWraps have done a stunning job on it & I cannot wait to see it at work smoking up the rears across the UK & maybe even some forays into Europe too.
After taking on the British Drift Championship along with FBS & the Gymkhana Grid European Gauntlet in 2015, Ryan is seeking to do all of that and more this year. Now running solo with his own assorted array of sponsors & completely rebranded he’s set for the challenge.
The car itself mechanically hasn’t changed much since we last feature it here & here, but thats not to say that this 600BHP+ power house of a build is still nothing short of impressive. We’ve seen it tackle full circuits & intricate layouts last year & it didn’t fault once. The competition best be ready as this creation is certainly not going out without a fight.
